It feels like just yesterday when we all celebrated New Year’s Eve. And now here we are, only 4 months till the end of the year. Last, year “JUNK IS REMOVED” achieved various milestones by providing quality services across Kent Washington. So far, this year has been as hectic as the last one. We offered a variety of services, helped numerous people, and dealt with a variety of junk all the same.
But this year has been a bit interesting and pretty hectic compared to the last few years. Not that we are complaining. In fact, we feel blessed to be able to help many people and be able to return to our dear environment. If you are wondering what kept us busy this year, then here is a list of items that we removed mostly.
Outdated electronics
As technology is increasing and establishing with each passing day, so is the need to get rid of outdated appliances. This year was pretty unusual as we collected a variety of outdated electronics in a surprising amount.
Some common electronics include outdated computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, and other such things. In fact, we even collected a vintage radio from one place. Anyways, we removed an odd amount of electronics this year, that’s why they are on top of our list.
Broken furniture
The second thing that we collected the most is broken furniture. Saying that we collected the most may sound weird, but it is what it is. Maybe spring and summer are the time of change and energy, so people get rid of unwanted things from their place. Or this year was special when people felt like changing the furniture a lot.
Well, whatever the reason is we removed so far over 23000 articles of broken furniture. And this amount is just an estimate up till July. We still are receiving requests for people’s old furniture removal. So, we feel like this amount would be more surprising than now by the end of this year.
Air conditioners
You may feel astounded after learning it but believe us, we are as surprised as you are. We collected over 1300 truckloads in the last 7 months full of air conditioners and their associated things for appropriate disposal. The only speculation that came to mind after learning it as people really wanted to upgrade their place’s air conditioning system. Regardless of the reason, it is one of the prominent junk that we collected this year so far.
One important thing you need to know here is these conditioning system carry hazardous gases. So, they need to be tackled quite carefully. We made sure that they were disposed of in a proper manner. Thus, if you want to get rid of your old air conditioners, you can rely on us.
Mattresses
Another prominent thing we collected a lot this year as junk is the mattress. Medically, it is advised to change your mattress every 8 years, and for many, maybe those 8 years completed this year. Nonetheless, we are glad to be able to help with the appropriate disposal of these mattresses and help many people. We collected a whooping amount of 15000 mattresses this year.
Mattresses are one of those items that can be recycled and donated. We have links with charity organizations and recycling facilities. So, you can trust us to get rid of your mattress appropriately. If your mattress is in good condition then we make sure to donate it to deserving people. And, if not then we carefully discard it at the recycling facility.
Tires
Changing your car tires after a certain time is an important protocol for maintaining your car. However, getting rid of old tires is not an easy task. You can’t just throw them at a local dumping site. In fact, you need to remove it following a proper protocol. Maybe that’s the reason, we received many requests to collect old tires in the last 7 months. As a result, we have collected 8579 tires and still receiving such requests.
If we roughly estimate then it is safe to say that this amount would be over 10 thousand easily. Don’t think we are complaining. In fact, we are glad to be able to dispose of such tires in an appropriate way. These tires can be recycled as well for a variety of purposes, so we make sure to deliver them to appropriate recycling facilities.
Pianos
Yes! Yes! You read it right. It is pretty surprising but it is what it is. One of the prominent things we collected this year as junk is pianos. As you know they are quite big and heavy so removing them is a challenge. Regardless, we are proud of ourselves for being able to remove around 3,000 pianos across Kent and Seattle. We know they are amazing instruments but they take up a lot of space, and if broke they are hard to get rid of.
However, with “JUNK IS REMOVED” this problem is not a problem at all. Not only do we collect and treat it appropriately, but if it is in fine condition, we will donate it to an appropriate organization. So, you don’t have to stress about getting rid of that heavy monster lying at your place. We have got you covered.
Old carpets
Another thing we collected a lot this year as junk is old carpets. They were of various sizes, some were in quite bad shape while others were in a condition where they could easily be donated or recycled. So, as you know, we are experts when it comes to appropriate “junk disposal” so we made sure to deal with them in an appropriate way. Though their amount was around 2 thousand, still it is one of the prominent things that we removed this year.
